Overview

Pendla is designed with privacy in mind. The app does not collect personal information, does not require an account, and does not track you. Your commute data stays on your device.

Data we do not collect

Pendla does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• Names, email addresses, or other personal identifiers
• Account credentials or payment information
• Contacts, photos, or other device data
• Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking data

Location data

Pendla may request access to your device location to determine your nearest station. Location data is processed entirely on your device and is not sent to any server. You can use the app without granting location access by manually selecting your stations.

Transit data

The app fetches real-time departure information from public transit APIs (Trafikverket and SL). These requests contain station identifiers only — no personal data is included in these requests.

Analytics

Pendla uses TelemetryDeck for anonymous, privacy-friendly usage analytics. TelemetryDeck does not collect personal data and uses cryptographic hashing to ensure no individual user can be identified. No advertising identifiers are used. You can learn more about TelemetryDeck's privacy practices at their privacy policy.

On-device storage

Your station selections and preferences are stored locally on your device using UserDefaults and App Groups (for widget and Apple Watch communication). This data never leaves your device.

Third-party services

Pendla does not include any third-party advertising, social media, or tracking SDKs. The only third-party service is TelemetryDeck as described above.

Children's privacy

Pendla does not knowingly collect any data from children. The app does not collect personal data from any user regardless of age.

Pendla is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Departure times and transit information are sourced from third-party APIs (Trafikverket and SL) and may be inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable. The developer assumes no liability for missed departures, incorrect information, or any damages arising from the use of this app. Always verify departure information with official sources when making time-critical travel decisions.

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
